Conference in Sibiu Underway!

IMG-20150917-WA0007The 2015 EURA Conference is finally started in balmy Sibiu! Who knew that the conference would take place during what feels like a second summer in September?! We hope everyone enjoys the various sessions, panels and workshops that will take place over the weekend.

A Tour-rific Opportunity!

Science Tour 2016:

EURA Governing Board: Call for Nominations!

At the General Assembly in Sibiu, EURA board elections will be held. We invite invite EURA members to become active in the board and support EURA activities. Board meetings take place once a year during the conferences. The role and composition of the board is describe in Article 8 of our charta.

Article 8: Board and Elections
The Association is administered by the Board, consisting of no less than seven (7) nor more than twenty-nine (29) members.

Call for Host: EURA Summer School 2016

The 2015 EURA Summer School will take place in September on Greek island of Spetses. The course is intended to provide training for young researchers through the COST Action program. The Action program provides a platform for establishing new comparative knowledge and integrated research, while helping young researchers build networks and strenthen skills.

Correction: EURA Roundtable at AESOP Congress in Prague

Correction: In the last newsletter that was sent out to members, it was stated that the EURA Roundtable entited Creating policy spaces for innovation would be hosted on 13 July at the 2015 AESOP Congress in Prague. The correct date for the roundtable discussion is in fact 16 July.

2015 EUROLOC/EURA & Cost Summer School

In 2015, the EUROLOC and EURA Summer School on “INNOVATIONS IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT” will be co-organized by:

  • Prof. Dr. Nikos Hlepas,
  • Prof. Dr. Panagiotis Getimis (University of Athens),
  • Prof. Dr. Kristof Steyvers,
  • and Prof. Dr. Henk van der Kolk (EUROLOC/EURA),
  • and the COST Action “Local Public Sector Reforms (LocRef)” (Prof. Sabine Kuhlmann, Christian Schwab from the University of Potsdam)

 It will take place in Spetses, Greece from September 13th to 17th, 2015

5 Full Scholarship (& 2 additional Positions) in the Urban Planning, Design and Policy PhD Programme at Politecnico di Milano (UPDP)

The UPDP Programme focuses on urban, social, economic and institutional transformations in contemporary cities and it aims at fostering innovative and interdisciplinary research.
