Abstracts should clearly state the purpose, results and conclusions of the work to be described in the final paper.

Leading The Inclusive City

Winter Book Sale: 60 % saving on “Leading the inclusive City”.

A new international, comparative book on urban leadership and place-based innovation is currently available in the Policy Press Winter Sale.

Leading the Inclusive City. Place-based innovation for a bounded planet, by Robin Hambleton, was reviewed by Silvia Saccomani in Urban Research and Practice last year – see Vol 8, No2 pp 268-271. She concludes by suggesting that: ‘… the book offers a wide-ranging insight on place-based innovation and many well-documented successful examples of the creation or improvement of inclusive cities’.

Policy Press, the publishers of the book, are offering a 60% discount on their bestselling research paperbacks in 2015.

The normal paperback price for Leading the Inclusive City is £24.99 (approx 32 euro). In the Winter Sale the price is £9.99 (approx 13 euro). To take advantage of this discount purchases have to made from the Policy Press website before the end of January 2016.

ARL is calling for new members!

The German Academy for Spatial Research and Planning (ARL) is calling for new members to establish an international academic working group (IAK) on ‘Smart grids – smart cities?’
