Our invitation to become a EURA member
EURA is an international network of urban scholars and researchers with members in over 17 countries.
The aims of EURA are
- To provide a European forum for people from different disciplines and policy backgrounds to
exchange information about and findings from research on towns and cities as the basis for
closer co-operation - To encourage interdisciplinary and cross-national approaches to research in and education for
urban and regional studies as a professional and academic field - To bridge the gaps between academic, professional and policy interests, inform public debate
and improve the quality of urban policy
Activities and forthcoming events
The European Urban Research Association produces a regular newsletter and runs international
conferences and workshops. Furthermore EURA supports the organization of an annual conference.

Membership benefits
Members of the Association:
- Receive the EURA Newsletter which comes twice a year providing news and information about
research developments and events in Europe - Obtain a substantial discount on the registration fee when they attend EURA event
- All members can have their details added to the ‘Expertise’ page of the EURA website, plus use the ‘News’ page to give information on new publications, new projects and research results
- Institutions are featured in the EURA Newsletter and can be linked to the EURA website
- Institutions can advertise their forthcoming conferences, seminars and workshops, plus post
advertisements for academic positions, traineeships or scholarships on the EURA website.
How you can join us
The European Urban Research Association has five membership categories:
- Institutional members receive the Newsletter pdf-version) and can access special services. Members of their staff are eligible for reduced rates at EURA events.
Fee: € 240 per year. - East European Institutional members enjoy the same benefits as other Institutional Members but pay a reduced fee.
Fee: € 160 per year. - Individual members receive the Newsletter (pdf-version) and are eligible for reduced rates at EURA events.
Fee: € 60 per year. - Individual retired members receive the Newsletter (pdf-version) and are eligible for reduced rates at EURA events.
Fee: € 48 per year. - Research student membersreceive the Newsletter (pdf-version) and are eligible for reduced rates at EURA events.
Fee: € 48 per year. - Colleagues in Eastern Europe receive the Newsletter (pdf-version) and are eligible for reduced rates at EURA events.
Fee: € 48 per year.
