Urban Research & Practice is making a special call for submissions for its Policy Section. Practitioners, policymakers, community actors, activists and researchers are invited to submit 300-word abstracts by 7 September 2026 on new and emerging urban policies shaping cities today. We are delighted to announce the location and host of the EURA 2027 Annual Conference, marking the 30th anniversary of the European Urban Research Association. Location: Aveiro, Portugal. Dates: 17–19 June 2027. Theme: “Centres, Margins and the Future of Territory: Reconfiguring Urban Governance”. Host: University of Aveiro, co-organised with the University of Palermo. The European Urban Research Association would like to express its sincere thanks to Università Iuav di Venezia for hosting and organising the EURA 2026 Annual Conference in Venice. The papers titled "Learning to Reconfigure Housing Provision: Industrialised Construction and Collaborative Governance in Times of Crisis", by Emanuel Diogo and Alexandra Paio, and "Urban Regeneration, Social Impact Assessment and AI: Mediating Knowledge for Adaptive Governance", by Riccardo Palazzolo Henkes, won the EURA 2026 Best Conference Paper Award.
