EURA Newsflash: 10th July 2019

The 2020 Urban Food Systems Symposium will be held June 4 – 6, 2020 in Kansas City. Our goal is to bring together a national and international audience of academic and research-oriented professionals to share and gain knowledge on urban food systems and the role they play in global food security. This symposium includes knowledge on: urban agricultural production, local food systems distribution, climate change, nutrition, urban farmer education, urban ag policy, planning and development, food access and justice, and food sovereignty.

Symposium topics includes:

2nd International Conference on Landscape Ecology and Urban Sustainability (LEUS 2020)

The 2nd International Conference on Landscape Ecology and Urban Sustainability (LEUS 2020) solicits original, state-of-the-art research papers focusing on significant and innovative research contributions to the field of landscape ecology and urban sustainability. We invite submissions on a wide range of research and scientific topics, spanning both theoretical and systems research.

For authors submit for journal publication, please prepare your manuscript according to journal guidelines.

Research and teaching associate (m/f/d) at the Institute of Landscape Architecture

Research and teaching associate in the field of green infrastructure and nature-based solutions (full-time PhD or Post-Doc position, optional: 50% research position only).

The Institute of Landscape Architecture is one of the most research‐oriented institutes at the Faculty of Architecture at RWTH Aachen University. We investigate the role of landscape and green spaces for sustainable urban and regional development and are active in the areas of green infrastructure, urban agriculture and cultural heritage. We are part of inter‐disciplinary and pan‐European research networks.

PhD position in Green Urban Infrastructures

The University of Stavanger invites applications for a research fellowship in Regional and City Planning, at The Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Safety, Economics and Planning. The position is vacant from October 2019.

The PhD candidate will be working within the project: “Green Infrastructures for liveable and sustainable cities”.
