EURA has members in over 30 countries

The aims of EURA are:
  • To provide a European forum for people from different disciplines and policy backgrounds to exchange information about and findings from research on towns and cities as the basis for closer co-operation
  • To encourage interdisciplinary and cross-national approaches to research in and education for urban and regional studies as a professional and academic field
  • To bridge the gaps between academic, professional and policy interests, inform public debate and improve the quality of urban policy

Membership benefits

Members of the Association:
  • All members* obtain a substantial discount on the registration fee when they attend EURA events (EURA and UAA Conferences, Summer and Winter Schools, Workshops)

  • All members can use the ‘Events & Activities’ page to share their new publications, projects and research results

  • All members can propose and apply to join EURA Working Groups
  • All members receive EURA Newsletters by email, providing updates and information about events, relevant publications, research developments and funding/job opportunities

  • Individual members have access free access to Urban Research & Practice for the duration of their EURA subscription (an email will be sent directly by Taylor and Francis to activate the service)
  • Institutions can advertise their forthcoming conferences, seminars and workshops, plus post advertisements for academic positions, traineeships or scholarships on the EURA online channels

  • Institutions are linked to the EURA website

How you can join us

The European Urban Research Association has six membership categories:
  • Institution (members of their staff are eligible for reduced rates at EURA events)
    Annual fee: € 240
  • Institution: from Eastern Europe (members of their staff are eligible for reduced rates at EURA events)
    Annual fee: € 160
  • Individual Member
    Annual fee: € 60
  • Individual Member: from Eastern Europe
    Annual fee: € 48
  • Individual Member: research student (Master and Doctoral students, Postdoc researchers)
    Annual fee: € 48
  • Individual Member: retired
    Annual fee: € 48

As of July 2022, EURA annual fee corresponds to the period between 1st January to 31st December.
