The call:
The C-NEWTRAL Doctoral Network (funded by the prestigious Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions) is currently seeking applicants from highly ambitious candidates. The research aims to advance towards achieving climate-neutral cities from different dimensions (Urban Nature, Urban Mobility, Built Form, Energy, Circularity) through citizen engagement and decision-making support.
Overview:
10+2 Doctoral Candidates will be overall employed to conduct research on how to advance towards achieving climate-neutral cities on different dimensions through citizen engagement and decision-making support.
There is a great team of academics and experts involved in supervision and training, and the consortium is now inviting applications for 10+2 doctoral candidates (Researchers) for these fully-funded positions. The Researchers will be employed on a full-time basis for 36 months and based at one of the six host institutions (University College Dublin – the coordinating institution, University of Bologna, University of Girona, Heidelberg University, University of Helsinki, Queen's University Belfast). They will also spend time on secondment at non-academic partners, thereby ensuring that all Researchers will spend time in both academia and industry.
10+2 Doctoral Candidates will benefit from a competitive salary, social security, a monthly mobility allowance, and a family allowance, if applicable.
Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the country of the recruiting institution for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the date of recruitment.

The call for applicants to the 10+2 Doctoral Candidate posts is now open. Each of these posts is for a period of 36 months, with the first candidates commencing in August 2024.
The submitted contributions must highlight how they are linked to inclusion, integration, connection or cohesion and what effects they expect to produce.
To these topics, other related topics can be proposed for special sessions in order to wide or further focus the general theme of inclusion.
