EURA Governance Updates 2025
New President and Re-Elected Governing Board
Following the General Assembly held during the EURA 2025 Annual Conference in Bristol (11–13 June 2025), EURA is pleased to announce important changes in its governance structure for the period 2025–2029.
New EURA President
Professor Ignazio Vinci (University of Palermo) has been elected as the new President of EURA. With his longstanding commitment to urban research and active involvement in the association, we are confident that Prof. Vinci will provide strong leadership as EURA continues to grow and evolve.
A Word of Thanks
EURA expresses its sincere gratitude to Professor Filipe Teles (University of Aveiro), who has completed his term as President. His vision, dedication, and collaborative spirit have been instrumental in guiding the association through a period of expansion and innovation.
Governing Board Re-Elected
EURA also announces that the current Governing Board has been re-elected, with its mandate extended for the next four years. This continuity ensures stability and supports the association in building upon the strategic directions set in recent years.
EURA extends its thanks to all members who participated in the elections and discussions during the General Assembly. The association looks forward to continuing its collective work to advance urban research and foster exchange among scholars and practitioners across Europe and beyond.
