CONTEMPORARY PUBLIC SPACES TALKS
TALK #01, Adaptive Public Spaces
An Online Series by the EURA Working Group on Flexible, Healthy and Liveable Public Spaces
Online at Google MEET
15:00 (CET), 21 October 2026
Overview:
On October 21, 15:00 CET the online series “Contemporary Public Spaces Talks” will begin. This series is a new EURA initiative launched within the Working Group on Flexible, Healthy and Liveable Public Spaces. Contributions will focus on three key concepts that characterise contemporary public spaces: Adaptation, Flexibility and Liveability.
The first event, Adaptive Public Spaces, will feature presentations by Prof. Marichela Sepe (Sapienza University of Rome) and Prof. Sofia Morgado (University of Lisbon), and will be moderated by Prof. Pietro Garau (Italian Institute of Urbanism). Organised in collaboration with the GUDesign network, the event will provide an overview of adaptive public spaces implemented in different countries, exploring adaptation in its broadest sense.
