We are pleased to share the Call for Papers for URBILITY 2026 – 1st International Conference on Urban Sustainability and Smart Cities, which will take place in Seville, Spain, from 11 to 13 November 2026, in a hybrid format.
Under the leitmotiv of advancing sustainable, resilient and intelligent urban environments, URBILITY 2026 will bring together academics, scientists, urban planners, engineers, managers, policymakers and solution providers from around the world. Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, present new ideas, debate emerging urban challenges, and introduce the latest developments in the multidisciplinary field of urban sustainability and smart cities.
The conference welcomes original contributions addressing the technological, environmental, organisational and social dimensions of urban sustainability, smart cities and sustainable urban transformation.
Topics include, but are not limited to, sustainable urban development and planning, smart cities and digital urban transformation, urban resilience and climate adaptation, sustainable mobility and transportation systems, energy-efficient cities, circular economy, urban data analytics, artificial intelligence and IoT applications in urban environments, sustainable infrastructure, urban governance and policy, social sustainability, urban digital twins, and citizen engagement.
Submissions may be made as full papers, short papers, poster papers or industry papers. Submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis, and only original contributions will be accepted.
All papers accepted as full or short papers will be included in the conference proceedings, to be published by Elsevier as a Procedia Computer Science series volume. Poster papers and industry papers will be published in a conference book of abstracts, industry and poster papers with ISBN. Authors of selected papers will also be invited to extend their papers for publication in international journals or edited books.
