We are delighted to announce the location and host of the EURA 2027 Annual Conference, marking the 30th anniversary of the European Urban Research Association. Location: Aveiro, Portugal. Dates: 17–19 June 2027. Theme: “Centres, Margins and the Future of Territory: Reconfiguring Urban Governance”. Host: University of Aveiro, co-organised with the University of Palermo. The papers titled "Learning to Reconfigure Housing Provision: Industrialised Construction and Collaborative Governance in Times of Crisis", by Emanuel Diogo and Alexandra Paio, and "Urban Regeneration, Social Impact Assessment and AI: Mediating Knowledge for Adaptive Governance", by Riccardo Palazzolo Henkes, won the EURA 2026 Best Conference Paper Award.
The paper titled "Amalgamation, Promised Decentralisation, and the Politics of “Uniqueness”: Local Narratives and Reform Legitimacy in Armenia", by Arman Gasparyan (KU Leuven), won the EURA 2026 Emerging Scholar Award.
