The EURA Working Group on Municipal Councillors in Europe is advancing its collaboration through joint research and teaching. A new survey of mayors is in preparation, alongside a first Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) held in June 2025 in Darmstadt with partners from five countries.
During the EURA 2025 Annual Conference in Bristol, the General Assembly elected Prof. Ignazio Vinci (University of Palermo) as the new President of the association. We extend our deepest thanks to Prof. Filipe Teles (University of Aveiro) for his outstanding leadership over the past years. The current Governing Board was also re-elected, with its mandate extended for another four years.
The European Urban Research Association would like to express its sincere thanks to the Centre for Sustainable Planning and Environments at the University of the West of England for hosting, organising, and sponsoring the annual EURA Conference. Special thanks goes to the Chair of the conference Prof. Danielle Sinnett, the organizing committee and the whole Bristol team. We are especially grateful to the speakers of the two plenary sessions, to all staff involved in the organisation of the mobile workshops, as well as all panelists, track chairs and discussants.
The paper titled "Regulating Urban Resilience: the need for interconnected standards and responsibilities for climate change resilience for the UK Urban areas", by Chris Medland and Jonathan Chenoweth won the EURA 2025 Emerging Scholar Award. Congratulations once again to the winners and thank you to all PhD and emerging researchers who submitted papers.
The paper titled "Analysing and evaluating co-productive planning practice in Germany" by Dahae Lee and Shpetim Thaci, won the EURA 2025 Best Conference Paper Award. Congratulations once again to the winners and Thank you to those who submitted papers.
